For the past 182 years, the Printers' Charitable Corporation (PCC) has organised one of the most prestigious events in the printing industry's social calendar, the Annual Printing Charity Luncheon. In 2009 it was held at Stationers' Hall in London in November, raising more than £2,000.00 through the table draw for the charity's work.
Paul Rudd, the PCC's Chairman, unveiled the charity’s new name and logo which will be launched in early 2010.
He also announced that Michael Johnson, Chief Executive of the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) has been appointed the charity’s President for the second year running, in recognition of his outstanding achievements on the PCC’s behalf.
Why you supported the 182nd Annual Luncheon in aid of the Printers’ Charitable Corporation.
We provide vital financial assistance for those experiencing hardship, including dependent family members. We also run Butlin House Residential
Care & Nursing Home, Milton Keynes, as well as two sheltered housing schemes in Milton Keynes and Basildon.
This is a very difficult time for many in the print and publishing industries and we are working closely with those who have been affected by the current
economic climate. Our Annual Luncheon is one of the ways in which we raise funds to continue our work.
Thank you for supporting us!
Case Study –
Sallyanne has had progressive arthritis since she was 14. The severity of her arthritis means that she has to use crutches to move around at home and regularly use a wheelchair when she goes out. With a grant from the PCC, we contributed towards the cost of a new electric wheelchair which has given her greater freedom and independence.
Your continued support will assist the PCC to go on helping people like Sallyanne.
