For the second year running, we’re the nominated charity at the British Book Design and Production Awards

We were delighted to be the charity of choice at the British Book Design and Production Awards 2009. Over 350 guests attended the glittering event hosted by the British Printing Industries Federation, Oxford Brookes University and The Publishers’ Association on 29 October at the London Lancaster Hotel.

Louise Rice of the National Gallery, who attended the event as a guest of Butler, Tanner & Dennis, was the winner of our charity prize draw. Louise received a £200 voucher provided by the D & D Group London for an evening for two at one of the UK’s leading restaurants.

On winning, she said: “The last time I won a raffle I was at school – a very long time ago! So thank you.”

Stephen Gilbert, our chief executive, says: “Key industry events like this help us to raise our profile, so it was an honour to be the nominated charity for the second year running. We’d also like to thank everyone who donated so generously on the night and raised over £1,400 for our work supporting people in the printing and publishing industries.”
